Spring in the North Georgia mountains has a way of bringing everything back to life—and for us at Sisterhood Outdoors, there’s no better way to celebrate that than our annual Cast & Blast weekend in Blue Ridge. This year was nothing short of incredible. Surrounded by like-minded women who share a passion for the outdoors, we spent our days busting clays on the mountain and casting flies into some of the most beautiful trout water in the Southeast. It wasn’t just about the activities—it was about the connection, the laughter, and the shared experience of learning together in a place that feels like home.

At Sisterhood Outdoors, our mission has always been bigger than just hunting and fishing. We exist to create a space where women—no matter their background or experience level—feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to step into the outdoors with confidence. Whether it’s your first time picking up a shotgun or your hundredth cast on a fly rod, what matters is that you show up. We believe in mentorship, encouragement, and creating an environment where women can grow at their own pace while building meaningful relationships along the way. That’s exactly what weekends like this are all about.

A huge part of what makes this experience so special is our partnership with Noontootla Creek Farms. Year after year, they take exceptional care of our group, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back. Their guides are not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but they truly care—meeting each woman where she is and helping her succeed. Fly fishing at Noontootla is something truly unique. The creek itself is a pristine, carefully managed watershed that supports one of the largest populations of naturally reproducing trout in the Southeast . These aren’t stocked fish—these are wild, stream-bred rainbow and brown trout that thrive because of cold, oxygen-rich mountain water, healthy aquatic insect life, and intentional conservation practices . The shaded banks, native vegetation, and ongoing habitat work help maintain ideal water temperatures and protect the ecosystem, allowing trout to grow strong, vibrant, and plentiful.
For our women, that means a true fly fishing experience—reading the water, learning the hatch, and connecting with fish that are as wild as the place they live.

What truly sets Noontootla Creek Farms apart is the deep-rooted tradition of family and stewardship. Owned and cared for by the Owenby family for generations, this isn’t just a destination—it’s a legacy built around conservation, hospitality, and sharing the outdoors with others . We’ve been fishing with them for many years, and every visit reinforces why we trust them with our community. Their commitment to preserving the land while creating unforgettable experiences aligns perfectly with what we believe in at Sisterhood Outdoors.

And we’re just getting started. After another unforgettable weekend, we’re already dreaming bigger. Our next experience—Cast & Blast Plus—is in the works for 2027, and it’s going to be something you won’t want to miss. These spots will be limited and highly sought after, so stay tuned for details. If this year was any indication, you’ll want to secure one of those coveted spots the moment booking opens.
