Join Sisterhood Outdoors, the NWTF Lady Bird WITO Chapter, and Dead Zero Shooting Park for an exciting day of rifle instruction, hands-on coaching, and range time as we celebrate National Shooting Sports Month! Whether you’re preparing for hunting season or simply looking to build confidence with a rifle, this event is designed to help you become a more confident, accurate, and ethical shooter. Experience Dead Zero: Outdoor Shooting Range in Tennessee

During this event, you’ll:

  • Confirm and fine-tune your hunting rifle’s zero before the season begins.
  • Learn practical rifle fundamentals, scope setup, and shooting tips from instructor Amy Ray.
  • Receive personalized coaching from experienced mentors.
  • Shoot the Beretta BRX1 straight-pull rifle.
  • Experience Dead Zero’s legendary 1,000-yard range.
  • Don’t own a rifle yet? No problem! Instructor rifles will be available so you can safely learn proper rifle handling, shooting fundamentals, and build confidence before purchasing your own firearm.

  • Limited to just 12 women to ensure personalized instruction and mentoring.
  • Lunch is provided.
  • Must register online via checkout process: cost is set to zero dollars.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) celebrates National Shooting Sports Month every August to encourage everyone to visit the range, improve their skills, introduce someone new to the shooting sports, and practice safe, responsible firearm handling. Join us for a fun, supportive day of learning, mentoring, and practice as you prepare for hunting season—or take your very first shots with the guidance of experienced instructors.

Event Agenda

9:00 AM – Welcome & Check-In
Meet at the clubhouse for introductions and get to know your instructors, mentors, and fellow participants.

9:15 AM – Safety First
Watch the required range safety video followed by a firearm safety briefing and range procedures.

9:30 AM – Classroom Session
Learn rifle fundamentals, scope setup, zeroing techniques, optics, shooting positions, and practical hunting tips before heading to the range.

10:00 AM – Live Fire Range Session
Receive one-on-one mentoring while confirming your rifle’s zero, improving your shooting fundamentals, trying the Beretta BRX1, and experiencing Dead Zero’s famous 1,000-yard range.

11:30 AM – 12:15 PM – Lunch

12:15 PM – 2:00 PM – Afternoon Range Session
Continue practicing with personalized coaching to build confidence, improve your skills, and get ready for a successful hunting season.

2:00 PM – Wrap-Up
Final questions, key takeaways, and encouragement to keep practicing throughout National Shooting Sports Month so your first shot is your best shot this hunting season.
