Cow Elk Pack Trip (October 25-28, 2025)

Join us and Boulder Basin Outfitters BG164 for an exciting Wyoming cow elk pack trip in Cody, Wyoming. You will embark on a four-hour horseback ride to the high-country camp, where side-walled tents, stoves, cots, bed rolls, and a lantern await you. A camp chef will provide all meals and fresh coffee during your stay.

We hunt by horseback and cover a lot of ground, searching for elk herds.  The scenery is fantastic, and the journey is life-changing.  Push your limits and find out what you are made of on the trip of a lifetime.

Please note that this is a rifle hunt, and you should have your gun zeroed at 200 yards to take shots out to 500 yards. We recommend calibers such as .308, 30-06, 270, 7 MM Rem Mag, and 300 Win Mag. You will learn how to shoot prone on the ground or off sticks in the backcountry, and the better your shooting skills, the higher your chances of success on the mountain.

Before the trip, we will provide you with a packing list and answer any questions you may have.

Lodging (except for one night at a hotel) & meals are included.  Arrive on the 24th (we will stay in the historic Irma hotel this night), hunt the 25th-27th, and depart on the 28th. The cost of a one-night hotel, airfare, license, tags, and conservation stamp is not included in the price.  We will apply for the draw as a group in January 2025.

There is a regional airport in Cody otherwise, the closest major airport is Billings International (approximately two hours)
